Remember Google Wallet? Launched last year amid all sorts of reports about how paying with your phone was going to sweep the land? Have you noticed that the land remains… unswept?

Business Insider checks in and finds that the service is still only available on two(!) phones and seems kind of dead in the water. A big reason is that the only carrier that supports the system is Sprint, which is sort of like buying a Beatles album and only getting the George Harrison songs. Or, alternatively, buying a Kiss album and only getting the Ace Frehley tracks (Gene is Verizon, Paul is AT&T, Peter is T-Mobile). That’s because the other big three carriers will be launching their own service, Isis, possibly very soon. Will there be a market for it?
