My top mobile phone complaints: 1) slow internet connection 2) I never get the good letters in Words with Friends 3) cell phone taxes and 4) my phone rarely drops calls during really boring conversations.

It looks like lawmakers could help me out.  At least with number 3.  There’s a bill floating around that would freeze cell phone taxes for five years.

In a letter sent Thursday to Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (R-Mont.) and ranking member Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), Mobile Future Chairman Jonathan Spalter asks that the committee take action to move forward on the Wireless Tax Fairness Act of 2011. The bill, which was introduced in March 2011 by Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) and 12 co-sponsors, would prevent the imposition of any new taxes on wireless services, and would hold the government’s cut of the average wireless bill at 14 percent — which is still nearly double the average state sales tax.

Now, if only they could legislate against drawing a “Q” at the very end of a Words with Friends game.
