Adobe announced yesterday that it will stop developing Flash for mobile devices, instead opting to focus on HTML5. Desktop development will continue, but you have to wonder if that’s on the way out too. Apple first challenged Flash, Adobe’s software that helps you watch videos and interact with websites, when it released the iPhone. Apple refused to work with the, prone to being hacked, battery-intensive, software and opted for HTML5, which is a little more stable and conveniently open source (FREE). Some tablet makers running Android and BlackBerry operating systems like to play up the fact that their devices can run Flash, but what will they tout now? Shiny colors?
