Toshiba announced a no-glasses-required 3D laptop called the Qosmio f750. It’s designed for one person at a time to sit in front of it and watch all that 3D content that isn’t being generated for home computers. Oh and it will cost you $2100. The computer uses eye tracking software so the image will actually adjust to where you’re watching from, as opposed to making you sit in just the right spot, as is often the case with glasses-free 3D. Of course there is the matter of your computer keeping track of the precise movement of your eyeballs, but if you can get past that creepy factor, well, good job. Engadget has a preliminary writeup after trying it out. They say it’s quick with the movements but perhaps lacking in software so far. Engadget is eager to try out a 3D Blu-Ray movie on it, for instance. I’d like that too but not enough to pay $2100 for the experience.
