The idea is that parents could request any text or image be removed from Facebook and the company must then comply within 48 hours. It would be a $10,000 fine each time they didn’t. The bill would also require all accounts of minors to be set at maximum privacy settings by default. As Tech Crunch points out, this could get a little dicey when you have something like a divorce case. And parents are abusive sometimes too. Facebook will also argue that this is unduly burdensome on them as a business.
