This from the Marketplace Desk of the Future: On Monday, Wal-Mart applied to the Federal Aviation Administration for permission to test drones for home delivery.
Apparently the company’s been doing indoor tests for months now.
Amazon’s already working on it, so now you gotta figure it’s gonna happen.
“There is a Wal-Mart within 5 miles of 70 percent of the U.S. population, which creates some unique and interesting possibilities for serving customers with drones,”a Wal-Mart spokesperson said.
