Users booted from Wikipedia over ‘sock puppetry’ accusations

A look at the practice of "sock puppetry" on Wikipedia, where users maintain multiple accounts to trick other editors.

This week, some 250 Wikipedia user accounts got blocked. The reason? Because the users were accused of sock puppetry. Professor Andrew Lih of American University explains to Marketplace Tech host Ben Johnson what that means.
