Google doodle – Moog edition

Marc Sanchez May 23, 2012

Before we get on with this post, the name is Moog (rhymes with rogue). Now that’s out of the way, Google’s latest doodle is a celebration of Bob Moog’s birthday. The electronic music pioneer would have been 78 today and the doodle features a playable Moog synthesizer. Click the keys with your mouse or use your keyboard to create and record a melody. Geekosystem has a good step-by-step on how to get the most out of today’s doodle. If you create a masterpiece and are don’t want to erase it, don’t fret, there’s a link that lets you share your tune to Google + (naturally).

The last doodle to feature sound was the Les Paul-inspired guitar, which brought out lots of creative covers. Expect your head to be engulfed in Moog madness for the rest of the day.
