Can you feel the excitement? It’s iPhone 3G-review day!

Walt Mossberg of The Wall Street Journal’s All Things Digital, David Pogue of The New York Times, and Edward Baig of USA Today are all weighing in. According to CNet, those three were chosen by Apple to get early looks ahead of the product’s Friday launch.

They’ve all got their quibbles, of course, but are generally positive about the iPhone’s new features. If you’re not personally iPhone ready, CNet has reviews of some possible alternatives — one of which, I must admit, just became a birthday present for my teenage daughter. (I think I got a new baseball mitt when I was her age.)
