Today, Ford announced a $500 million investment in Rivian, the electric vehicle startup. Rivian is known for its electric pickup truck and the two companies will reportedly work on a pickup together. However, an EV pickup with limited battery charge might be a tough sell for truck buyers looking for heavy-duty hauling capacity and range.
