New Bing is old Google

This is a Marketplace.org Reader

Googling just isn’t what it used to be, and Microsoft is trying to capitalize on that as it rolls out its new look for Bing searches this week. The layout looks astonishingly close to Google, except without all the hit-you-over-the-head sharing features and options to connect your search to any number of other Google products. From Tech Crunch: “Microsoft seems to have realized that if it can’t match Google’s algorithmic prowess, it could win with sleek design that doesn’t bombard you with a thousand options.” Don’t get me wrong, I think Bing is catchy, but it’s probably going to take a lot more than a minimalist re-design to get people to stop Googling and start Binging.
