E3 tomorrow

John Moe Jun 6, 2011

The big video game expo kicks into gear in Los Angeles tomorrow (our own Steve Henn will be there, thus earning the envy of every boy in America by going to work at a video game show). A couple of new Kinect games have already been leaked, they’ll be officially announced at the expo: Fruit Ninja and Disneyland Adventures. Fruit Ninja began life as a casual game on mobile phones, now making the leap to Kinect/Xbox. Also, Nintendo will be showing off what will be the successor to the very successful but awfully long in the tooth Wii. It will be interesting to see what they do there. The Wii became a huge hit by not worrying about having killer graphics or sound or anything and just being super fun. If the new version gets all hung up on pleasing the hard core gamers, they might sacrifice fun in the mean time.
