KAI RYSSDAL: I’m not really sure what this talks to more — our celebrity-obsessed culture or the fact that Wall Street traders are a shallow and superficial bunch. A little bit of both, probably.

When Tiger Woods started talking at 11 o’clock this morning trades hit their slowest pace of the day. The instant he stopped — 13.5 minutes of stalled trades cleared.
