A survey from the National Federation for Independent Businesses showed companies are feeling better about the health of their businesses. But concerns about labor persist.
Employers added just 73,000 jobs last month, well short of what forecasters expected. Worse, revisions shaved a stunning 258,000 jobs off May and June payrolls.
“I came across a number of job postings in which companies were pretty blunt about what their expectations were for hires,” said Lindsay Ellis at the Wall Street Journal. “And that if you didn't like the culture, you probably shouldn't even apply.”
