E-retailer Quince is having a moment, in part because it has a lot of data on its customers. “It uses a data-scraping operation to figure out what is selling sort of across the internet in these categories that this particular consumer finds interesting,” said Bloomberg’s Amanda Mull.
“What these factory owners are making is a point that, even with the tariff, it is still going to be drastically cheaper than when you’re buying from the brand directly,” said Caiwei Chen, a China reporter for MIT Technology Review.
