Letters: On bribing kids to do better in school

Listeners respond to the latest Freakonomics Radio segment on bribing kids for better results in school.

We had Steven Levitt on earlier this week. The Freakonomics of parenting, if you will.

Steven Levitt: When I was a kid, my parents bribed me. It was just a mainstay of my household, that if I did well in school, they’d give me $50 maybe for every day.

Ryssdal: No, get out of here! Fifty bucks?

I wasn’t the only one amazed. Here’s a bit of how you responded on our Twitter and Facebook feeds. Listen to the audio above.

You know how to reach us. Or bribe us. Twitter is @MarketplaceAPM. You can get me at @kairyssdal.
