Not the best stretch of time to be working as a patent attorney for Samsung these days. Unless you’re an undercover operative from Apple working for Samsung, in which case things are GOING GREAT. Samsung had already lost a case against Apple, resulting in the Galaxy Tab 10.1, which looks an awful lot like an iPad, being temporarily blocked from sale in the United States as Apple pursues a patent violation case over how much the Galaxy Tab 10.1 looks like an iPad. Samsung’s appeal in that case has been rejected.

“Samsung is disappointed with the court’s decision that denied our motion to stay. We believe today’s ruling will ultimately reduce the availability of superior technological features to consumers in the United States,” Samsung said in a statement.
The district court is not the last chance for Samsung to get the injunction lifted. Samsung has also appealed to a federal appeals court in Washington, DC, which has exclusive jurisdiction over intellectual property disputes.
