Can’t exactly open a beer to pour on Google Wallet’s grave. It’s not dead yet and an unpopular payment application doesn’t even drink beer. But get ready to do something because Google Wallet is getting ready to cross over to the other side, at least if we are to believe the veracity and implications of new slides from Sprint that have been leaked. The slides appear to show a plan for Sprint’s own Near Field Communication (NFC) payment system.

According to the slides, when you want to access your Touch wallet info you will be required to enter a passcode, then shown a quick animation of the wallet unlocking. You’ll then be taken to one of two screens, depending on whether you simply opened the application, or tapped the phone to pay for something. After your transaction is complete you’re shown another animation of your wallet locking back up.

Sprint is the only one of the four major carriers not to be included in the upcoming Isis system, an NFC payment application being prepped by AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile, allegedly launching later this year.
