  • Airing on Monday, August 3, 2015: First up, we’ll talk with Santosh Rao, head of research at Manhattan Venture Partners, about Etsy ahead of the company’s earnings report Tuesday. We’ll also speak with Molly Mulshine, senior digital culture editor at Tech Insider, about why Instagram blocked the #curvy from the app. We’ll also explore how electric cars might actually produce more pollution than a comparable gasoline-powered car.

  • Airing on Thursday, July 30, 2015: First up, we’ll talk to Brian Blau, research director at Gartner, on Facebook earnings. We’ll also speak with Minds.com founder Bill Ottman about an anti-Facebook social network with open source code and strict privacy policies that protect user data. And Farhad Manjoo, tech columnist at the New York Times, joins us to talk about mobile gaming and tomorrow’s launch of Angry Birds 2.

  • Airing on Wednesday, July 29, 2015: First up, we’ll talk with Joe Belfiore, Corporate Vice President of the Operating Systems Group at Microsoft, about the launch of Windows 10 and Microsoft’s attempt to build an operating system that works across tablets, phones, and PCs. Then, Julie Ask, Vice President at Forrester Research, will explain why the new Moto X will be available without a phone plan attached. We’ll also hear about a way to reduce 1 percent of the overall energy consumption of the United States with a new type of clothes dryer.

  • Airing on Tuesday, July 28, 2015: First up, we’ll talk with Will Oremus, Senior Tech Writer at Slate, about Twitter’s hunt for a new CEO ahead of the company’s earnings report. And, Dan Ackerman, Editor at CNET, will explain why Microsoft is taking the Apple approach to its newest software update. We’ll also hear from Amy Grace, Head of Wind research at Bloomberg New Energy Finance, about the Deepwater Wind project off the coast of Block Island in Rhode Island. 

  • Airing on Monday, July 27, 2015: First up, we’ll talk with John Wheeler, Director of Research at Gartner, about the growth of the cyber insurance market, and uncertainties about how it will change. Next, we’ll look at Gawker’s business model after news that the site will be re-launched next week as a kinder, gentler version of itself. And sound artist Sabisha Friedberg talks about machines and accidental music for the next installment in our Noise Makers series.

  • Airing on Friday, July 24, 2015: First up, we’ll talk with Marketplace’s Adriene Hill about Hollywood’s many failed video game tie-ins. And how well have you kept up with the week in tech news? It’s time for another installment of Silicon Tally. Marketplace’s Molly Wood will try to stump Tom Merritt, host of the Daily Tech News Show, with numbers from the week’s tech news.

  • Airing on Thursday, July 23, 2015: First up, we’ll talk to Sucharita Mulpuru, Vice President and Principal Analyst at Forrester, about Amazon ahead of its earnings call. We’ll also pay a visit to Minnie Ingersoll, Co-founder and COO of the secondhand car company Shift, at the company’s used-car warehouse. And Portland Oregon’s two defining cultures — tech and bikes — have come together to improve transportation infrastructure, in the face of the city’s exceeding growth. A new app will anonymously track behaviors, preferred routes of cyclists along with 200 underground sensors placed throughout Portland to count all the cyclists who roll over them – with or without the app.
