What’s cheaper: milk, oil or water?

Take a guess…

It’s an imperfect comparison, I’ll grant you, but interesting nonetheless.

The investor news website ValueWalk did a chart this week: oil, priced per gallon — and that’s important — versus other well-known liquids.

With a barrel of oil at 36 bucks as it is, today crude is 83 cents a gallon.

Milk? About $2.29 a gallon at my local Ralphs.

Even water’s about a buck and half a jug.

Yes, we’re talking raw commodity versus finished product but still interesting, no?
