Twitter has some paying up to do

And they can start by sending Kai Ryssdal a check for $5,940.

This final note today, in which by our calculations, Twitter owes Kai Ryssdal some money.

$5,940 to be exact.

Alright, so Kai didn’t crunch the numbers himself. But Time magazine built an interactive tool that calculates a monetary figure for your Twitter labor by factoring in the number of followers someone has, how many times a day that person tweets, and compounds it by some corporate valuation numbers Twitter put in its IPO prospectus.

So, then, we did some calculations of our own: Kai could buy 120 pairs of red pants (of the J. Crew $49.50 variety) with that money — or enough new pairs of pants for every Friday until 2016.
