Netflix president Reed Hastings issued a quarterly shareholders letter yesterday and said the company planned to expand into more original programming. It already has secured House Of Cards, an HBO style original drama from Kevin Spacey, and Hastings wants to add a few more shows you can only see on Netflix (certainly makes getting the rerun rights a lot easier). Not a lot of Wall Street surprises in the quarterlies.
