Investors are paying close attention to the rapidly growing sector that is agricultural technology, or ag-tech. As the earth warms and the world’s population grows, more and more companies are growing food indoors in greenhouses and vertical farms. Although demand is increasing, this segment of the agricultural industry faces high costs of both labor, energy costs and equipment, for things like lighting.
