Tracking the flow of aid relief in Nepal

The 7.9 magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal on Saturday has left more than 4,500 people dead and thousands injured as of Tuesday.

Charities and non-governmental organizations have initiated relief efforts, which include providing supplies such as food and water to Nepalese affected by the quake. Marketplace’s Mitchell Hartman looked at how the non-profit Mercy Corps distributes donations. Here’s a look at how those and other donations from the U.S. are spent:
