European unemployment hit a new record high in April. 12.2 percent, or about 20 million people, across the 17 countries that use the euro are out of work.

Demonstrators gathered in front of the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, Germany today to protest policymaker’s handling of the region’s debt crisis. An offshoot of the Occupy movement, they are calling themselves “Blockupy.”
