Sony’s security problems becoming a fascinating dark comedy

John Moe May 19, 2011

After massive security breaches pretty much torpedoed the Sony PlayStation Network, the company had a huge cleanup effort on its hands. One of the systems it put in place was a new site to help users reset their passwords and get back up and playing on the network. Well, now they’ve had to take that one down because it had – guess what – security flaws!

All it would take is a person’s email address and birth date to gain access to their account. Sony was getting a lot of heat already for being clueless on security and this certainly won’t help matters.
