Internet back on in Egypt

John Moe Feb 2, 2011

Reports are coming in that all major internet service providers are reconnected in Egypt
and things are flowing once again. But the Washington Post also says that there are numerous reports of people still unable to access Twitter, which, along with Facebook, had evidently been banned as the protests really started to kick up. The restoration of service comes after Hosni Mubarak promised not to run for reelection and after Google and Twitter announced a work around that would let people post to Twitter through a long distance phone call.
