Google+ gets games

John Moe Aug 12, 2011

So, if you’re one of the rubberneckers on Google+ wondering how to use it and how to have a hangout, here’s an easy fix. You can just log in and play Angry Birds! Thursday, Google announced that and a handful of other casual games would be available for Google+ers, however, no FarmVille, CityVille, or any other Ville that’s exclusive to Facebook. Unlike games on The Face, games on Google+ won’t show up on your screen unless you want them to. Plus, Google announced a developers platform so third parties can develop more for the service.

Obviously to get developers to build for the platform, Google had to make the platform attractive. They did this by taking only a 5% commission on sales as opposed to the 30% that Facebook currently demands.
