Yes, it’s only Monday but we have to get ready. Patch Tuesday isn’t exactly a holiday but it is an important day in the security of your Windows-based PC. That’s the one day out of the month that Microsoft issues patches to its software aimed at thwarting viruses and other unwanted intruders. Since this month’s Patch Tuesday, taking place tomorrow, is an especially extensive one, we examine the best ways to make sure your computer is as safe as it could be. Andre DiMino of The Shadowserver Foundation explains just what goes into a patch and what goes into some of the problems it’s their to address. And MIT security architect Jeff Schiller tells us what you extra steps you need to be taking.
