For international students staying in the U.S., COVID-19 closures led to a scramble for housing

Not all international students could afford to return home after campuses closed.

As colleges and universities across the country canceled in-person classes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many students left campuses. But the international who students could not afford to go home were forced to find new accommodation in a very short space of time.
