Organic farming near hives can help bees, study says
Scientists in France may have found a means of averting bee colony collapse.

In the past 20 years, honey production has fallen dramatically worldwide. American bees produced 152 million pounds of honey last year, down from 220 million pounds in 2000. In Europe, it’s a similar story. But a study by scientists in France has shown that even a small amount of organic farming close to beehives boosts honey production and bee survival rates.
