CVS wants to be more than a traditional drug store. It’s teaming up with SmileDirectClub, a startup that provides teeth whitening and straightening services, in order to bring in more store traffic. The deal will bring SmileDirectClub’s teeth scanning and evaluation services to a few hundred CVS stores across the nation. It’s a strategy that also has benefits for SmileDirectClub, which will get cheap access to physical locations.
