Microsoft launches its own team chat app as rival to Slack

The way many of us talk – in the office to our co-workers at least – is evolving, thanks in large part to a three-year-old San Francisco-based company called Slack. The team messaging app has four million users and is a bit of a tech world darling. Now the big guns are muscling in on the space. Facebook’s Workplace went live last month, and this week Microsoft Teams is launching. Should Slack be worried?
