Robots are taking over Taco Bell

Okay maybe not, but they might be taking jobs

Robots are taking over Taco Bell

The robots are taking our jobs at Taco Bell.

The company has teamed up with Slack, the messaging app, to write a software program that lets you order food from Taco Bell.

By chatting with the TacoBot. TacoBot!

It’s an artificial intelligence program that takes orders and answers questions about the menu …

Such as, “what IS a quesalupa?”

And then you order and go pick it up and it’s almost like you talked to a real person! But it was a bot! A TacoBot!

Not to be a buzzkill, but it’s an interesting trend as companies figure out how to employ fewer people because of rising minimum wages in some areas and outsource the jobs to cute fuzzy Slack bots.

But you know what, just ignore all that. Say TacoBot again. It’s so fun!
