One Arizona bank employee got the call of his life over the long weekend.

Nathan Schoenfeld, a relationship manager with FineMark National Bank & Trust, was spending time with his family when he got a call from the Arizona Coyotes hockey team.

“I was at home with my wife, and we have twin boys that are five weeks old, and we were giving them a bath,” Schoenfeld said.

The Coyotes wanted Schoenfeld to be a backup goalie because their regular goalie, Anders Lindback, had suffered an off-ice injury. Schoenfeld got in his car and was at the ice rink in no time.

Schoenfeld ended up spending the game on the bench, which he said wasn’t so bad.

“I have practiced with the team before so I had been not comfortable, but ready to take a couple shots,” Schoenfeld said. “I don’t know how ready I would have been to play if needed though.”

No word yet on whether Schoenfeld is getting paid for his one evening on the team.
