That’s how much Chinese appliance company Haier Group will pay for General Electric Co.’s appliance division in an acquisition announced on Friday. As the Associated Press writes, it’s been a big week for Chinese companies purchasing overseas entities to expand global reach.

That’s in part because of the new law known as Obamacare. However, the report also shows that about one million Latino children who qualify for Medicaid coverage remain uninsured.
