Starbucks CEO is ‘bullish’ on China despite stock turmoil

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz explains why he's investing in baristas in China.

Starbucks is getting ready to open its 2000th store in China. The company operates in 90 cities there and employs 30,000 people, many of whom travel hours to get to work or move across the country for the job. On Tuesday, the company announced it will begin offering its workers a monthly stipend for housing, an amount that will cover on average 50 percent of their housing expenses.
