Philippines highly vulnerable to effects of global warming
A series of typhoons have hit the region over the past two years.
When a super typhoon hit the Philippines two years ago, the world’s attention was focused on the crisis. At least 6,300 people were killed, and more than a million homes were damaged by the storm, known locally as Yolanda.
Now some people are wondering if Typhoon Yolanda and the recent onslaught of deadly typhoons that have battered the archipelago are a manifestation of climate change.
