Good news and bad news today, I guess you could say.

The good news is that according to PlayNetwork, Mariah Carey no longer has the most-played Christmas song, “All I Want for Christmas is You.”  

Surely, you’ve heard it.

The bad news is that clearly we’ve got pent up demand for new Christmas songs. The new most-played song of the season is The Shins, doing a 2012 remake of Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmastime,” which is like 35 years old or something.
