The number of resumes Southwest Airlines recieved just two hours after it announced 750 new flight attendant positions last week, according to a company spokesman. The airline hadn’t hired new flight attendants from outside the company since February 2011. (Marketplace)

The price of airline tickets for roundtrip flight between Cincinnati and Minneapolis for February on the Delta Airlines website on Thursday due to a computer glitch. The tickets, for one of several flights that were incorrectly priced, normally cost over $400. The company says it will honor the cheaper tickets for those who bought them at that price, which sounds generous until you realize regulations require them to do so anyways. (NPR)

$1.4 billion

The amount that the parent company of airplane manufacturer Cessna is paying to acquire fellow aircraft company Beechcraft. Beechcraft is known for manufacturing light military jet planes and trainer aircraft. Both manufacturers are based in Wichita. (USA Today)
