China Eases One-Child Policy

China to ease restrictions on one-child policy among other reforms.

China will ease its one-child policy that has long prohibited urban couples from having multiple children.

The loosening of this decades-old social experiment is among a series of reform initiatives released Friday. Though this is a major policy shift to one of the most controversial population control methods, the decision does not completely abolish the policy.

The move is  part of a larger goal to revive the economy and improve patriotism.
