What does $36 less on groceries look like?

Starting today, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly referred to as food stamps , will see a cut of $5 billion. Under the cuts, a family four will receive $36 less in benefits every month.

We took the conversation to social media to see what you would cut from your grocery list with $36 less in groceries every month.

The response varied, but because of the price, cutting spending on fresh fruit came up multiple times: A lot of respondents said the price of produce is one of the most expensive things on their grocery list.
