NSA’s new Utah data center plagued with debilitating meltdowns

Electrical surges at a National Security Agency hub has delayed the center’s opening for over a year.

Depending on how you feel about the National Security Agency’s surveillance this is either great or terrible news. The huge data storage center that the NSA is building in Utah has been having some computer problems, and not like the spinning pinwheel. Electrical surges and fiery explosions are melting metal parts and destroying circuits. Siobhan Gorman, an intelligence correspondent for The Wall Street Journal, says the problems stem from something called arc flashes.
