Jeff Price’s Audiam helps musicians make money from YouTube

The SpinArt Records and TuneCore co-founder's has a new company that's generating a lot of buzz.

It’s been over a decade since the internet flipped the record industry on its head, and Jeff Price has seen it up close. Price’s record label SpinArt put out recordings by 90s cult heroes the Pixies, among others. Then he started a company called TuneCore, which helped artists big and small get their recordings on iTunes and other online music marketplaces. Price has since been pushed out of TuneCore, but he’s back with a new endeavor, Audiam. It’s geared toward paying songwriters their due from the biggest source of music listening today, YouTube. Jeff Price tells Marketplace Tech how his new service works.
