Boeing 787 Dreamliner returns to the skies

Four months after being grounded for safety inspections, Boeing's 787 Dreamliner flew safely from Houston to Chicago today.

Say what you will about United Airlines CEO Jeff Smisek and his counterpart at Boeing, Jim McNerney — they put their money where their mouths are.

United brought Boeing’s troubled 787 Dreamliner back into service today. United Flight 1, from Houston to Chicago. No battery fires to report. The thing even landed 15 minutes early.

Best part? Smisek and McNerney even sat back in coach.
