Respond to emails on the same day? You’re probably a negative person

A study says that negative people are 36 percent more likely to respond to emails within 24 hours.

This final note today, which comes with the disclosure that I’m a notoriously bad emailer. I just kind of let things sit in my inbox, not wanting to either deal with, or disappoint, whoever sent me the note.

Turns out — I read in Slate today — that that might be because I’m just too nice.

Seriously.

A study by Contactually, which calls itself a referral marketing platform, says negative people are 36 percent more likely to respond to an email within 24 hours. I don’t know how statistically rigorous this thing is, but I’m goin’ with it.
