File this one under regrettable fashion trends: men’s pajamas bottoms.

For day wear…outside…where people can see them. You read that right.

Retail analysts say flannel and silk PJ bottoms are the new sweatpants for streetwear. Sales of men’s PJ bottoms are up 15 percent in the last year — some of them going for as much as $110 a pair.

Y’know, aside from the sloppiness factor, it just means so much more plaid on the streets. So I give this fashion trend a big Roger Ebert thumbs down.
