YouTube opens pro studio for users in London

That video of a football hitting some dude in the groin is going to look GREAT. YouTube, operated by Google, has opened a professional video production studio in London. Unfortunately, if you are not already a big time content creator, you probably won’t get to use it much (sorry, kittens). The studio will have DSLR and cinema cameras, green screen technology, editing suites, the whole thing. Filmmakers who are of sufficient ability to improve the overall quality of what’s on YouTube will get a crack at all this.
TG Daily gets a quote:

“Our partners from all over Europe, Middle East and Africa will be able to book time in the space to create and collaborate with other creators, learn new techniques, as well as gaining access to state-of-the-art audio visual equipment, to help them generate great new content for their channels,” says YouTube content operations director for EMEA Sara Mormino.

Still, one has to wonder if quality is what people really want out of YouTube. The home movies quality is part of the appeal, whether it’s of kids like David After the Dentist, political events like the Arab Spring, or even weird stuff like the No No No No Cat.
