You’ve of course heard of Old Spice. Well, here comes “Old Book.”

A famous European perfumer has created “Paper Passion,” a fragrance with the scent of that volume no one’s taken out of the library in a while.

Well, to each his own. But it inspired one of my occasional Friday limericks.

If you sidle in close you’ll discover
That I’m more than a casual book-lover.
Smell like musty old spines,
But please read ‘tween the lines.
And don’t just judge this book by its cover.
