And the world will stay pretty much the same. Unless something really shocking occurs, today’s keynote at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference will be incremental. There will probably be changes to the Mac computer and maybe something with the Apple TV peripheral but nothing on the order of the iPad being launched or the app store being launched or even a new iPhone.

Mashable wonders if we might see an API (advanced programming interface) so that app developers can use Siri:
Seeing as this is a developer conference, if Apple has any major announcements about Siri, they likely have to do with spreading her to other apps. So far Siri’s ability to launch and interact with apps other than the default Apple ones has been extremely limited (but not nonexistent), mainly due to the absence of an API and software development kit (SDK).

9 to 5 Mac reports that it has specs on new Mac Pro and MacBook Pro computers being introduced and says it expects some other MacBook Pros (for which it does not have specs) to feature super high-res retina display screens.

Keep in mind that regular old computers now mark a smaller portion of Apple’s business than the mobile devices.
